The CRM Developer at Creighton University is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting delivered and customized solutions within the university's CRM (Salesforce) platform.

This role requires a strong understanding of CRM (Salesforce) best practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components, as well as a strong understanding of data migration and integration tools such as Data Loader, MuleSoft, or Talend.

The CRM Developer will work closely with IT business analysts, project managers, technical team members, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be able to develop custom user interfaces using Visualforce and Lightning Web Components, create custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and process builders to meet business requirements, and sustainably modify purchased applications as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable solutions that adhere to Salesforce best practices.
  • Develop custom user interfaces using Visualforce and Lightning Web Components.
  • Create custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and process builders to meet business requirements.
  • Sustainably modify purchased applications as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Ensure that defined solutions fit within supported platforms and standards to avoid creating technical debt.
  • Perform data migrations and integrations between Salesforce and other systems using tools like Data Loader or custom scripts.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems as needed using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency during migration and integration processes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing applications, address production support tickets, and provide timely support and resolution for user-reported issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Salesforce features, releases, and best practices, and apply new knowledge to improve existing solutions and develop innovative approaches.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and design patterns.
  • Experience with data migration and integration tools such as Data Loader, MuleSoft, or Talend.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Salesforce Developer Certification (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an educational environment.
