Position Overview
The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for the effective management of 8 store locations within the designated area.

Key responsibilities encompass workforce planning, recruitment, training, mentoring, and retention of team members to ensure the district meets its financial objectives.

This role involves establishing accountability and expectations for team members in alignment with company standards, policies, and procedures, while fostering an environment conducive to achieving both organizational and individual goals.


Compensation:
$90,000 - $125,000, inclusive of incentives. Compensation is commensurate with experience. This position qualifies for additional incentives, including a company vehicle with a fuel card and a mobile phone allowance.

Core Responsibilities:
- Cultivate Store Managers to become leaders in cultural transformation, ensuring a consistent 5-star customer experience.
- Ensure that assigned locations are staffed according to company workforce planning standards, aligning staffing with demand.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and development of all store management personnel while minimizing turnover.
- Guide and train Store Managers and Manager trainees on operational procedures, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Manage budget and capital expenditures to surpass objectives.
- Develop recovery plans to address any financial shortcomings as necessary.

- Conduct and document store visits (at least once per quarter for each store), tracking action items and communicating follow-up expectations to Store Managers.

- Ensure compliance with all required documentation, processing, reporting, company policies, safety regulations, and standards across the district.
- Train and monitor adherence to company safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

- Communicate effectively and professionally with Store Support Center colleagues, including Executive Management, Marketing, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources, and other departments as needed.

- Stay informed about local market competitors, industry trends, and new developments.
- Manage district inventory in accordance with company standards and policies.
- Complete all required training through Monro University within the designated guidelines and timeframe.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Management Responsibilities:


The Regional Operations Manager holds leadership responsibility for the operations of 10 stores within the assigned district, with direct supervisory authority over Store Managers.

This position operates under the general guidance of the Zone Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:


A High School Diploma or equivalent (an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business is advantageous) along with a minimum of 5 years of management experience is required.
Experience in a multi-unit retail environment is strongly preferred, particularly in the tire or automotive sector.


Knowledge & Skills:


A self-aware, servant leader with proven experience managing a team of 10 or more employees, including responsibilities for interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, and termination of team members.

Prior experience in performance management, including coaching, setting expectations, delivering performance reviews, managing disciplinary actions, conducting investigations, and holding team members accountable for results.

A strong motivator and role model with the ability to proactively identify issues and provide effective solutions; adept at handling problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

Proven sales expertise with the ability to train others in successful sales techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication skills for conveying ideas, concepts, and initiatives, including the ability to synthesize disparate data points into a cohesive message.
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate business and financial documents regularly.

Proficient in interpreting and calculating figures such as financial reports, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; capable of applying basic algebra concepts.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to communication and execute instructions provided in written, oral, and diagrammatic forms.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with the capacity to learn new and existing company-specific software.
Demonstrated experience managing a P&L and familiarity with key line item management to influence results.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role operates in an office setting with exposure to an automotive retail environment. The position may involve moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, and exposure to chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines will be routinely used.
A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
Flexibility to work various hours/days, including evenings and weekends; additional hours may be necessary based on business needs.

Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.; frequent reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing may be required.

Frequent travel within the assigned district is expected.
