The Senior Regional Operations Manager is a pivotal role within Supply Services, providing essential functions that allow for hands-on experience with contemporary inventory and receiving software systems. This position acts as a secondary level manager within Supply Services.

This role is based at various warehouse locations throughout the state and involves overseeing moderately complex managerial tasks related to the daily operations and activities of Supply Services.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor Supply Services to ensure compliance with statutory and procedural requirements: This includes reviewing warehouse operations for efficiency and effectiveness, overseeing stock purchase reviews to identify and recommend blanket order opportunities, and leading teams in identifying products suitable for system-wide standardization. You will also adjust workload activities among statewide facility warehouses to ensure timely responses to customer needs.

Facilitate consensus-building among statewide facility warehouses to minimize operational costs and streamline processes while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide mentorship to warehouse staff, offering guidance, support, and technical assistance, ensuring all staff are trained according to state mandates.

Plan, assign, and supervise the work of personnel in assigned warehouse facilities across the state. This position requires significant travel for site assessments, operational oversight at warehouse locations, and collaboration with facility leadership.

The Senior Regional Operations Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Supply Services, exercising considerable independence and initiative in decision-making.

Compensation Overview:
Annual Starting Salary: $58,000
Employer Paid Health Benefits: $7,200
Vacation Leave Accrued Annually: $2,041

Total Annual Starting Salary and Benefits Package: $71,281

Essential Functions:

Attend work regularly and predictably in accordance with agency leave policies and perform additional duties as assigned.

Manage activities, mentor, and provide direction to Regional Managers and warehouse supervisors, overseeing evaluations, hiring, and time/leave management using the CAPPS system.

Conduct site assessments to ensure compliance with Supply Services Operating Instructions.

Manage and oversee the actions of Regional Managers to guarantee efficient and effective services to assigned warehouse locations serving state facilities.

Establish goals and objectives, develop and approve schedules, and monitor progress towards achieving departmental goals.

Provide consultation and technical guidance regarding Performance and Conduct Management, FMLA, and Workers Compensation monitoring.

Research and investigate unusual incidents as necessary.

Develop and update guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations, ensuring staff compliance with policies related to Supply Services.

Offer technical assistance for the MIMS inventory control system, ensuring it is maintained and supported by Regional Managers and Warehouse Supervisors.

Plan and coordinate special projects, ensuring necessary resources are available and barriers are removed for successful project completion.
