Position Overview:

The Electroneurodiagnostic Technician I is responsible for conducting diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connects and operates electrodes from designated body areas to leads from the EEG machine.
  • Reviews patient records and provides instructions to patients before procedures. Monitors patients during tests and reports any irregular findings.
  • Identifies and corrects artifacts in the data. Edits and submits results to the supervising physician for evaluation and interpretation.
  • Maintains and ensures the functionality of EEG equipment and supplies.
  • Operates in a state of alertness and adheres to safety protocols.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • No prior experience necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular standing and walking.
  • Frequent communication through hearing and speech.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of vision for close and distant tasks, including color differentiation.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of heavier objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Occasional patient handling.

Required Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
