Position Overview

The Lead Manager, Consumer Research will spearhead market analysis, strategic planning, and advanced data interpretation to support the initiatives of Adtalem Global Education (ATGE). This role focuses on understanding various consumer segments, including prospective students, current enrollees, and alumni, while also assessing competitive dynamics within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert insights and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners based on comprehensive research findings.
  • Integrate diverse primary and secondary research sources to formulate actionable strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Consumer Insights within assigned institutions, crafting and implementing research initiatives.
  • Convert business inquiries into research objectives, selecting appropriate methodologies and vendors for effective analysis.
  • Oversee research vendors, analyze findings, and communicate results to audiences ranging from junior staff to executive leadership.
  • Lead complex analytical projects, including market segmentation, driver analysis, and consumer journey mapping.
  • Contribute to predictive modeling efforts related to enrollment forecasts and media effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of research projects within budget constraints.
  • Manage multiple projects independently, catering to a variety of internal and external clients.
  • Incorporate research insights into annual business and marketing strategies.
  • Advocate for consumer perspectives in organizational decision-making processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging research methodologies, fostering innovation in research practices.
  • Supervise freelance or junior staff as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in consumer marketing research or related fields, with a proven track record in qualitative and quantitative project design and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead research projects from inception to completion, delivering impactful business results.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative research techniques, statistical analysis, and qualitative best practices.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods including regression analysis, time series, and factor analysis.
  • Knowledge of data collection standards and survey research methodologies.
  • Ability to think strategically and influence organizational decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in higher education research is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with consumer insights software such as Qualtrics is a plus.
