Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a comprehensive Consumer Credit Review strategy utilizing a risk-oriented methodology. Execute thorough reviews across various consumer lending products, including credit cards, home equity loans, and personal loans. Conduct a detailed risk evaluation of the overall lending portfolio while collaborating with credit strategy teams to address any identified risks.
  • Engage with business stakeholders, senior executives, governance committees, and regulatory bodies to effectively communicate Consumer Credit Review findings and analytical insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Establish and uphold independent credit risk portfolio reporting for all consumer lending products.
  • Design, manage, and oversee reporting related to consumer credit risk appetite, tolerance levels, and thresholds, while remaining cognizant of consumer credit strategies and their impact on enterprise profitability.
  • Develop and sustain credit risk oversight processes, policies, and procedures aligned with the Corporate Risk Management framework.
  • Contribute to departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives aimed at attracting and nurturing talent. Provide ongoing constructive feedback, coaching, and training to team members to foster their professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, including relevant internships or research experience.
  • Extensive experience in the credit card or related financial services sector may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, including relevant internships or research experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in credit review, credit risk management, or internal audit functions related to credit risk at a major financial institution.
  • Proficiency in statistical tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or other platforms for analyzing complex consumer and transaction-level data, particularly in big data or cloud environments.
