Position Overview

As a Private Banker, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and oversee relationships with affluent individuals and families within a designated market. You will offer comprehensive financial services guidance, encompassing banking, credit, asset management, trust and estate planning, and brokerage services. This position requires you to manage the profitability of relationships, assess portfolio risks, and drive growth within your portfolio. You may also serve as a specialist in a particular segment or industry, providing expert consultancy to clients and colleagues across various business units.

  • Establish new client relationships through referrals, community engagement, and partnerships with internal teams.
  • Deliver customized advice across a range of financial services.
  • Lead initiatives to create new business opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on additional opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Oversee client planning, execution, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding market trends and investment strategies.
  • Evaluate and monitor clients' financial needs and situations.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of relationship strategies and client objectives.
  • Collaborate with the client team to develop presentation materials.
  • Stay informed about clients' financial situations and clearly communicate credit facility terms.
  • Engage in regular communication with clients and relevant risk areas.
  • Participate in continuous training and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in asset management, banking/credit, trust, and brokerage services
  • A minimum of 10 years of sales and relationship management experience in the financial services sector
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 and 65 or 66 certifications
  • California Insurance License

  • Strong knowledge of credit and banking operations policies
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing capabilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to initiate and nurture strong client relationships
  • Collaborative mindset with business and product partners
  • Potentially manage a revenue portfolio of up to $2 million
  • Possess a BA or MBA with 8 years of experience in financial services
  • May hold CFP, JD/LLM, CIMA, or Cannon Certified Wealth Strategist designations
  • Preferred: FINRA Series 7 and 63, and 65 or 66 licenses

Compensation

The starting base salary ranges from $127,626 to $237,014 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location. Eligible for bonuses and commissions.
