Administrative Manager Job Description

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is seeking an experienced Administrative Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Ft. Lauderdale office. The successful candidate will provide leadership to a team of legal support staff, ensuring the smooth functioning of office operations and providing support to attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of legal assistants, receptionists, and office coordinators.
  • Monitor and manage timekeeping, PTO requests, and employee relations.
  • Assess staff performance, provide coaching and guidance, and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire legal assistants, and onboard new employees.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure departmental needs are met.
  • Collaborate with firmwide Directors and Managers to implement and improve firm policies and procedures.
  • Ensure office facilities are functional, safe, and adequately stocked.
  • Interact with property managers and manage vendors.
  • Plan and promote office events and monitor costs and expenses.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a management/supervisory role in a professional service setting.
  • Ability to work independently and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
