Job Summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical components according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Rework and repair equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Lay out hole locations and drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.
  • Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt, screw, dowel, weld, or rivet parts together.
  • Install moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and work them to test free movement.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with about 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. You should have a strong understanding of machine construction and be able to work with hand and power tools. Additionally, you should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
