Job Overview

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for assembling components according to assembly drawings, manuals, and E-Drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and specifications to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Rework and repair equipment and products according to Engineering specification changes.
  • Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Lay out hole locations and drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.
  • Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt, screw, dowel, weld, or rivet parts together.
  • Install moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and work them to test free movement.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience working for a manufacturer.
  • Knowledge of machine construction and hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
