Position Overview:

The Senior Estimating Supervisor exhibits exceptional leadership skills, guiding the team in the adoption of innovative processes and systems. This role entails managing the estimating team while overseeing multiple projects concurrently. The supervisor provides estimating expertise throughout all phases of design and construction, collaborating with cross-functional departments and engineering teams to assist the construction team with cost proposals and scope of work assessments.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee staff performance and development within the Estimating Department.


• Recruit, train, and mentor a specialized estimating team focused on high-technical industries.


• Review and authorize new project pricing requests, delegating tasks to senior estimators.


• Develop, maintain, and standardize estimating templates, including Sub-RFP templates, Bid Forms, and Scope of Work documents.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for estimating tools and methodologies.


• Assist in managing the historical cost database and estimating software.


• Act as the primary member of the estimating team, responsible for creating budgets and estimates.


• Ensure oversight of the estimating process for all projects that are bid and awarded.


• Establish standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating.


• Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and trends.


• Analyze past project performance to set estimating standards for future projects based on insights gained.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: A Master's degree or equivalent experience; or four to ten years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
