Position Title: Assistant Division Controller

Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Division Controller.

Core Responsibilities:


The Assistant Division Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the proper documentation of financial transactions. This includes conducting monthly reviews and reconciliations of general ledger accounts, as well as assisting the Division Controller in managing the financial, administrative, and accounting operations for both domestic and international branches. The role involves active participation in the formulation of both long-term and short-term strategic plans for the division, along with reporting obligations to the Corporate Treasury Group and relevant Division stakeholders.


Key Duties:


1. Generate comprehensive balance sheets, income statements, and various financial reports for international branches and the domestic entity on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
2. Support the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) revenue recognition process.
3. Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of General Ledger accounts.
4. Prepare and record accounts receivable entries, recurring journal entries, depreciation entries, cash transfer entries, accrual entries, reclassification entries, and reconciliations for both foreign and domestic petty cash accounts.
5. Collaborate with foreign tax experts to prepare State/Country-specific tax filings.
6. Prepare and/or review weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash reports for the Corporate Treasury.
7. Establish new jobs, cost codes, and budgets, while performing ad hoc reporting and analysis for Operations and/or Estimating as required.
8. Assist with both internal and external audit processes.
9. Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget forecast and quarterly updates.
10. Aid the Division Controller in developing long-term and short-term business strategies.
11. Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Division Controller or Senior Management.


Qualifications and Skills:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting is required; an MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
2. A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in the construction sector (international experience is a plus).
3. Strong leadership capabilities and sound business judgment are essential.
4. Exceptional analytical skills are necessary for effective problem-solving.
5. Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
6. Familiarity with cost-type construction contracts and government audits is advantageous.
7. Experience with ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, and solid proficiency in MS Office is expected.
8. Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance is mandatory.

This position requires full-time onsite presence.
