Mental Health Clinician I School Based/Social Worker

Job Summary

The School-Based Clinician will provide high-quality mental health services to youth and families in a home and school setting, working under the supervision of a licensed professional. This role requires a strong ability to assess and treat youth and families, as well as advocate for their needs to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop individual treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, as well as family therapy, based on client needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other informal supports, community, and mental health providers to provide needed services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain all required documentation in a compliant and timely manner, including clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Act as the primary contact for the treatment plan for youth being treated, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required, with a focus on mental health or a related field.
  • Must be license eligible, with a strong commitment to obtaining licensure within a specified timeframe.
  • Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license for a minimum of 1 year, with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases, or chemicals.
