Job Title: School Based Mental Health Therapist

Family Service Rochester is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our collaborative school team, you will play a vital role in ensuring student success in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health therapeutic services to students and families in a school setting, increasing access to services for those who may not have otherwise had access.
  • Collaborate with school professionals to develop and implement effective mental health strategies and interventions.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with school sites and community members to expand and maintain collaborative efforts.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a human service field and licensure in the State of Minnesota for independent practice in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse client and professional demographics.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with colleagues, co-workers, clients, and referral sources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in developing expertise in a Trauma-Informed, Solution-Focused, brief therapy model of practice.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of mental health consultation, education, and prevention within the community.
