Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Family Service Rochester. As a School-Based Therapist, you will play a vital role in ensuring student success in their learning environment by collaborating with school professionals, providing direct therapeutic services to students and families, and providing training on mental health topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health therapeutic services, co-located in the school setting to increase access for students who would otherwise not have access to services.
  • Consistently demonstrate clinical competence by providing therapy and diagnostic services to students and their families.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with school sites and community members to expand and maintain SBMH collaborative efforts.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in a human service field and licensure in the State of Minnesota for independent practice in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy OR is qualified as a Clinical Trainee working towards independent licensure, as defined by State of Minnesota statutes.
  • The capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse client and professional demographics, a profound understanding of family systems, and adeptness in deploying efficacious interventions.
  • Proficiency in functioning within a collaborative school team environment, coupled with strong communication skills for interaction with colleagues, co-workers, clients, and referral sources.
