Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician I School Based/Social Worker to join our team at Hillside Family of Agencies. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver quality mental health care to youth and families in a home and school setting under appropriate supervision.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individual treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Facilitate referrals to Hillside services and resources provided by the treatment team.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, as well as family therapy, based on client needs.
  • Collaborate with other informal supports, community, and mental health providers to provide needed services to clients.
  • Ensure all required documentation is maintained in a compliant and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree required.
  • Must be license eligible.
  • Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
  • Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

  • Demonstrate ability to assess and treat youth and families.
  • Ability to advocate for children/youth/families in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct towards all.
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize conflict resolution skills.

  • Must be able to work a variable scheduling including evenings and weekends.
  • The following physical demands are required: Occasional sitting (up to 4 hours) Occasional standing (up to 1 hour) Occasional walking (up to 2.5 hours) Occasional driving (up to 6 hours) Continuous balancing (up to 8 hours) Occasional balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching forward or down, reaching overhead, running, and twisting (up to 2.5 hours) Weekly lifting up to 50 lbs. (community-based staff may be required to lift an empty wheelchair weighing up to 50 lbs.), 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis Weekly carrying up to 55 lbs. approximately 10-100 ft., 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
