We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Technician to join our team at SEH America. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze critical and non-critical facilities equipment information to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
- Respond to alarms and make determinations for adjustments or shutting down components on facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform preventative and responsive maintenance on facilities equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain oversight of designated equipment and perform routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Dispose of hazardous waste and chemicals in accordance with regulations and permits to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in various projects such as new equipment installation, equipment modifications, and facilities upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permit requirements and company safety policies and procedures.
- Mechanical/technical experience, skill, and aptitude to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to pass and maintain qualification as a member of the HazMat Response Team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors, engineering, and contractors.
- Ability to write and develop new processes and equipment/facilities documentation.
- Experience abiding by strict safety regulations and participating in team safety activities.
- Understanding of the danger points related to common facility equipment and processes.
- Experience in a process manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a facilities operations related position.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. The successful candidate will be required to wear and utilize various types of safety equipment, including chemical protective suits, boots, gloves, goggles, hardhat, safety harness, safety shoes, safety glasses, respirators, and self-contained breathing apparatus. The position also requires the ability to work in confined spaces, at high elevations, and around high noise levels.
