Job Summary
The HVAC Facilities Maintenance Specialist is a skilled position responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and adjustment of building systems and equipment within the HVAC trade. The Specialist will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of County buildings. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions
  • Install and repair new equipment and systems
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless building operations
Requirements
  • Completion of a trades apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in HVAC
  • DDC systems knowledge
  • General experience in building maintenance, construction, or an additional trade
  • Refrigerant Handling Card, Universal preferred
  • HVAC L&I Electrical License, preferred
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Ability to pass Sheriff's background clearance prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Experience with computer systems used in building system diagnosis
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Selection Process
