Job Summary

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Chemical Technology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the Chemical Technology program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and course materials that align with the Chemical Technology program's learning objectives.
    • Use a variety of teaching methods to promote student learning and engagement, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
    • Assess student learning through quizzes, exams, and other evaluations.
  • Program Development and Assessment
    • Contribute to the development and revision of the Chemical Technology program's curriculum and learning objectives.
    • Participate in program assessment and evaluation activities to ensure the program's effectiveness and alignment with industry standards.
  • Student Support and Advising
    • Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection and career goals.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and industry partners to promote student success and program growth.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Chemical Technology education.
    • Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, and online courses, to enhance teaching and learning skills.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Technology or a related field.
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of industry experience in Chemical Technology or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching Experience
    • Previous teaching experience in an academic or industry setting.
  • Industry Experience
    • 5 years of industry experience in Chemical Technology or a related field.
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with online teaching and learning platforms.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
