DecisionPoint | Cortek is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Technician II to join our team. As a Help Desk Technician II, you will provide second-tier technical support to end-users, managing complex technical problems related to hardware, software, and network configurations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide second-tier technical support to users for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
- Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to resolve core problems.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical issues independently or with minimal supervision.
- Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems and improve overall functionality.
- Document, track, and monitor help desk tickets to ensure timely resolutions.
- Assist in the training and coaching of Level I technicians.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Minimum 4 years of functional/technical experience in IT support or help desk roles.
- High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with appropriate certifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in PC hardware, software, and networking.
- Experience with help desk software and ticket management systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical issues independently.
- Requires IAT Level I Certification as defined in DODD and AFMAN
- Experience in troubleshooting GDSS application issues
