Job Summary

DecisionPoint | Cortek is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Technician II to join our team. As a Help Desk Technician II, you will provide second-tier technical support to end-users, managing complex technical problems related to hardware, software, and network configurations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide second-tier technical support to users for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
  • Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to resolve core problems.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems and improve overall functionality.
  • Document, track, and monitor help desk tickets to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Assist in the training and coaching of Level I technicians.
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Minimum 4 years of functional/technical experience in IT support or help desk roles.
  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with appropriate certifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in PC hardware, software, and networking.
  • Experience with help desk software and ticket management systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complex technical issues independently.
  • Requires IAT Level I Certification as defined in DODD and AFMAN
  • Experience in troubleshooting GDSS application issues
