Job Title: Communications Associate

The Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) is a global coalition of organizations dedicated to advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendant Peoples. We are seeking a Communications Associate to support our Strategic Communications Program.

The ideal candidate will have experience in communications, journalism, or a related field, with a strong background in writing, editing, and social media. They will be responsible for developing and disseminating communications content, including blog posts, e-blasts, social media, and video.

The Communications Associate will work closely with our regional and global teams to advance our advocacy efforts. They will contribute to the development and distribution of impact stories, social media content, and press materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with professional fluency in English and proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and disseminate communications content, including blog posts, e-blasts, social media, and video.
  • Support the development and distribution of impact stories, social media content, and press materials.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our Strategic Communications Program.
  • Work closely with our regional and global teams to advance our advocacy efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Professional fluency in English and proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese.
