Role Summary:
The Jaffe Center Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Jaffe Center staff and the Special Collections department. This position requires a proactive individual who is organized, collaborative, and possesses strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome researchers and visitors to the center.
- Provide assistance to Jaffe Center staff and support for events and workshops.
- Maintain and operate equipment, preparing necessary supplies for various activities.
- Gain knowledge of the Jaffe Collection and share insights with the public; manage the reshelving of books.
- Handle communications through emails and phone calls.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a student who is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners and is eager to engage with diverse communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be an FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with at least six credit hours (or twelve for international students) and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $13.00.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, including potential evenings and weekends.
