Job Title: Caregiver - Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part-Time Weekends

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. in Washington State. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct support to consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access. You will also assist consumers in training activities, administer medications and treatments, and ensure the wellbeing of consumers at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
  • Provide direct support to consumers in training activities as specified in ISPs and activity schedules.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Ensure the wellbeing of consumers at all times.
  • Assist consumers in transportation as needed.
  • Participate as a member of the Individual Support Team giving input toward the consumer's ISP.
Requirements:
  • A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
