Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team at US Foods. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations to provide value-added services to customers

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality
  • Problem-solving ability/organization and negotiation skills
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record in good standing

Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel to customer sites, which may involve variable weather and temperature conditions. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and drive a motor vehicle is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role is between $66,000 and $99,000, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for commission. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record in good standing are also required.
