Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design to join our Transportation Design Group in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transportation civil engineering, with a focus on roadway design. Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and AutoDesk Civil 3D is essential. VDOT experience and EIT certification are highly desirable.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing portions of projects using relevant software and technology.
  • Completing calculations and solving problems using engineering formulas and computer skills.
  • Preparing specifications and materials for projects.
  • Working on design details and plan sets.
  • Performing research and writing reports.
  • Assisting with engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Completing field observations and inspections.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
