Job Summary

The Judicial Council of California is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to join its team in the Court Assistance, Resources, and Education unit for the Center for Families, Children & the Courts. This position provides critical support in contract and invoice processing, budgeting, and grants management for the Court-Appointed Dependency Counsel (CAC) and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare requisition approval documentation in the Center for Families, Children & the Courts' SharePoint system
  • Prepare and enter requisitions into FI$Cal, monitor and troubleshoot requisition and purchase order progress
  • Ensure that contractors respond timely to contracts and other documents sent to them
  • Receive and perform the first level of review on court-appointed counsel invoices
  • Run and review preset queries and reports from the case management system used by the vendors
  • Support the internal review system so the Supervising Analyst can review and approve payments
  • Receive the invoices in FI$Cal, and monitor the process of payment to vendors
Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to work in person at the Judicial Council's San Francisco or Sacramento office and reside in the areas surrounding these locations. The Judicial Council offers hybrid work arrangements for many positions, with a minimum of one day per week in the office.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks are essential for this role.
