Role Overview:
As a Process Improvement Analyst, you will collaborate with business unit stakeholders and technical teams to identify and articulate solutions for enhancing business operations, policies, and information systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in documenting business requirements, assessing the effectiveness of current processes, and recommending enhancements that can benefit both company-wide initiatives and specific operational tasks.

In this capacity, you will take on significant responsibilities for the meticulous development, analysis, and re-engineering of processes, with a strong emphasis on standard operating procedures.

As part of the Business Process Management Team, you will work collectively to ensure a consistent approach to requirements management across various IT departments.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in process analysis and improvement methodologies, demonstrating a commitment to optimizing business functions.

In your role as a Process Improvement Analyst, you will be instrumental in pinpointing inefficiencies, scrutinizing processes, and executing enhancements to elevate organizational performance and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

Process Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of existing business processes to uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential enhancements.

Data Analysis:
Gather and analyze data related to process performance, including cycle times, resource utilization, and quality metrics.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, comprehend business needs, prioritize improvement initiatives, develop specifications, assist in documenting new processes and procedures, and facilitate testing, training, and user acceptance. Communicate analysis findings and provide recommendations to business partners and technology teams. Document requirements and map future state workflows as necessary.


Process Documentation:
Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate current and future state processes. Define and document user business requirements. Facilitate data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, and solution design.

Root Cause Identification:
Determine root causes of process challenges and formulate recommendations for corrective actions.

Performance Measurement:

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of process enhancements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.


Change Facilitation:
Assist in the implementation of process improvements by supporting change management activities, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Continuous Improvement Advocacy:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking opportunities to streamline processes and boost operational efficiency.

Quality Compliance:

Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, and participate in audits and quality assurance activities as required.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, information technology, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience (1-3 years) as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity, ideally within a process improvement context. Academic qualifications may be considered in lieu of experience.


Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with process modeling and analysis techniques, such as BPMN, Lean Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

Experience with process automation tools and technologies is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote) is preferred.

Certification in Business Process Management (BPM), Lean Six Sigma, or a related field is desirable.

Prior experience in credit card payment file processing and/or payment customer service is preferred.

Basic understanding of SFTP and file management processes is a plus.

Ability to clearly articulate end-to-end business processes with key integration points and collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.

Strong partnering, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong customer focus.
