Position Overview:

Nightwing is at the forefront of innovation in the aerospace sector, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of advanced propulsion systems. We are seeking a dedicated F135 Systems Support Engineer to enhance our Military Customer Support & Services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency of the F135 propulsion system for various military and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to F135 depot test cell engines, implementing necessary maintenance procedures to rectify Health Report Codes (HRC).
  • Oversee software modifications and validation for systems including the Common Data Acquisition System (CDAS) and the Joint Strike Fighter Airframe Communications Simulator (JACS).
  • Address field test cell system challenges, ensuring optimal performance of JACS, CDAS, and Depot OBPHM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure engineering solutions for engines undergoing testing.
  • Manage technical documentation changes related to the F135 depot test cell.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 15% as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of experience in military engine support or software development; or an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for access to sensitive program information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with engine systems operations.
  • Strong communication skills to foster teamwork.
  • Experience in U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training.
  • Background in F135 Sustainment is advantageous.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring a blend of onsite and remote work. Employees are responsible for their commuting arrangements.
