Senior Remedial Operations Manager

GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Remedial Operations Manager to join our Environmental & Properties Risk team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing our remedial portfolio of 100+ sites, providing strategic support for risk management, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Spearhead an initial in-depth portfolio assessment to prioritize and balance focus and resources, with responsibility for ongoing periodic operating reviews for realignment.
- Operations Management: Serve as the primary operations manager for the remedial portfolio by collecting, tracking, and synthesizing key information from the Environmental & Properties Risk project managers.
- Strategic Support: Provide strategic support for the management of the GE Vernova remedial portfolio, including developing and maintaining technical standards to guide and inform our approach to managing remedial project risks.
- Communication and Coordination: Establish and maintain standard operational systems to support all aspects of the GE Vernova remedial portfolio, and coordinate with key stakeholders, including finance, controllership, business leadership, legal, audit staff, and EHS representatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, or equivalent discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years' applied project management experience in environmental, remediation, and/or EHS within a company, regulatory agency, and/or consulting firm.
- Skills: Proven ability to manage and coordinate consultant teams, prepare financial estimations and planning necessary for long-term remedial projects, and communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Graduate Degree: Graduate degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, business, or relevant related discipline.
- Collaborative Skills: Highly collaborative person with outstanding communication skills, familiarity with LEAN principals, and ability to problem-solve creatively.
