Senior Manager, Research Operations Strategy

The Senior Manager, Research Business Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing business planning and analytical functions within the Research division. Reporting directly to the Head of Research Strategy and Operations, this position synthesizes budgetary, contracting, procurement, and resource allocation data to present a comprehensive perspective on the operational health of the Research sector. The individual will leverage data to generate insights that guide senior Research leaders in optimizing resource distribution and managing financial plans effectively. Additionally, this role collaborates across departments to refine business processes aimed at achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate strategic reviews of budget and resource management for the Research division.
- Aggregate data to formulate metrics that provide a comprehensive view of Research operational health.
- Generate data-driven insights to enhance resource allocation and financial expenditures.
- Serve as a resource for Research personnel regarding Biogen's operational processes.
- Champion initiatives focused on business planning, process enhancement, and related activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree accompanied by 7-10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with preclinical drug development and associated processes.
- Strong financial management skills and budgetary expertise.
- Analytical thinker with the capability to extract insights from complex data sets.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and emotional intelligence.
- Self-driven with adept problem-solving skills.
