$10,000 Commitment Bonus Eligible | Paid in 4 equal installments over 24 months in 6-month increments.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team and deliver both direct and indirect patient care at Duke Children's Creekstone, specializing in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and Gynecology. This role provides the chance to enhance skills across various pediatric specialties, with leadership committed to fostering professional growth.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and document direct nursing care to patients and families in alignment with the scope of practice as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and in accordance with physician directives and the nursing care plan.
  • Support physicians and nursing staff in executing various diagnostic procedures.
  • Assess nursing care with a focus on procedures and patient responses; aid in the delivery of nursing care and prioritization of nursing tasks.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures aimed at ensuring the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients; engage in the creation of new policies.
  • Participate in maintaining the care environment, including equipment and other resources.
  • Engage in identifying clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assist in related activities.
  • Help manage material resources and maintenance; assist in evaluating the effectiveness of materials and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the charge nurse.
  • Take part in in-service education programs and other relevant conferences.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff members.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program is mandatory.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of North Carolina and BLS Certification are required.
JOB HOURS:

Schedule varies with weekday start times between 7:45-8:30am and end times between 4:00-5:00pm. You may be scheduled to remain in the clinic until the last patient is seen.
