Job Summary

As a Clinical Pharmacist in our Community Health team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and administration of medication orders. You will provide supervision to pharmacy technicians, residents, and interns, and interact with patients, physicians, and nurses to provide proper drug therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription orders and dispense medications accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Compound prescription medications as needed and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Counsel patients on drug information, including pharmacological action, dosage, contraindications, and reactions.
  • Identify and complete medication therapy management opportunities and recommend immunizations as appropriate.
  • Oversee technical personnel and assist with academic functions, such as precepting pharmacy students.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Registration as a Pharmacist in the state of Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
