Civil Foreman Job Description

As a Civil Foreman at Cianbro, you will play a critical role in leading a crew to safely produce a high-quality work product that meets project goals and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project supervision to communicate production goals, quality specifications, and discuss issues that arise.
  • Participate in planning means and methods to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed, monitoring and managing productivity to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze production results and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Forecast equipment, materials, and workforce needs to ensure timely resource availability.
  • Seek solutions to special requests or problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use Activity Planning to effectively plan, organize, and communicate work details, signing off on all plans.
  • Understand the project cost code structure related to work activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction projects.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy civil environment.
  • Ability to read and understand contract and shop drawings, with competency in fabrication equipment and processes.
  • Effective communication and task prioritization skills.
