About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at RightWorks Staffing. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing structural and bridge construction plans for state and municipally owned structures under the supervision of a lead engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement structural design plans and construction documents for bridge and structural projects
  • Conduct engineering computations and analysis to support the development of detailed plans and construction documents
  • Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance procedures to guarantee the highest level of quality in our projects
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the design team to ensure seamless project execution
  • Perform site visits to collect data and conduct inspections as needed
  • Perform load ratings on bridges and other structures to ensure their safety and integrity

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
  • Three to five years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in bridge construction
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, as well as experience with MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare Brr, and/or Csi Bridge
  • Familiarity with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and/or the CTDOT Connect Digital Design Environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
