About the Role

The Undergraduate Student Recruiter plays a pivotal role in attracting and enrolling prospective students to the College of Education at James Madison University. This position involves engaging with high school students, community colleges, and other educational institutions to promote the College of Education's programs and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet enrollment goals.
  • Represent the College of Education at college fairs, high school visits, and community events.
  • Conduct presentations and information sessions about the college's programs, admissions processes, and campus life.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, teachers, and community college advisors.
  • Assist prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Provide guidance on application requirements, deadlines, and financial aid opportunities.
  • Coordinate campus tours, open houses, and other recruitment events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Use digital platforms to engage with prospective students and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the college's programs, faculty, and student success stories to effectively communicate these to prospects.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
