Wealth Relationship Manager

The Wealth Relationship Manager is a seasoned professional role that requires in-depth disciplinary knowledge and expertise in financial planning and wealth management. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with affluent and high net worth clients, providing holistic financial solutions, and identifying opportunities to grow the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, build, and deepen relationships with affluent and high net worth clients to gain incremental wallet share.
- Anticipate complex financial needs of clients and offer solutions through a wide range of products, services, and tools.
- Provide regular value-added engagement with clients, including high-touch, face-to-face meetings and consistent communication.
- Master referral opportunities to grow the portfolio.
- Proactively source, acquire, and expand high-value customer relationships by maximizing sales and service opportunities.
- Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
- Organize client events to enhance client bonding.
- Acquire new clients through converting referral leads.
- Manage client follow-up and adhere to all regulatory and compliance operating procedures.
- Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to.
- Partner with all roles on the branch team to ensure all clients have a positive in-branch experience.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- 5-8 years of experience in financial planning and wealth management.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and experience using NaviPlan Select or similar financial planning software preferred.
- Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies preferred.
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver, and goal-oriented team player able to work without direction.
- US: Current Registration for FINRA series 6, 63, and 65 are required for the role. Individuals with Series 7 and 66 or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
- Insurance group 1 required; will give 120 days to obtain if not already held.
- This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (Registry) and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before referring interested clients to Citibank for their mortgage needs.
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
