Lead Technical Program Manager, Humanoid Robotics
NVIDIA is on the lookout for a Lead Technical Program Manager to join our Generalist Embodied Agent Research (GEAR) team. Our goal is to advance Project GR00T, NVIDIA's ambitious initiative aimed at developing the AI intelligence for humanoid robots. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented and supportive research team that consistently produces groundbreaking work in areas such as large language models, foundational models, robotics, embodied AI, and physics simulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee research and model release timelines, optimize workflows, facilitate project status meetings, and ensure timely distribution of meeting notes.
- Engage closely with researchers and engineers, tracking daily tasks and collecting requirements while defining priorities and addressing critical challenges.
- Lead the scheduling, planning, and execution of collaborative project milestones with other AI research teams across NVIDIA.
- Coordinate with external partners, including humanoid robot hardware manufacturers, to synchronize project timelines, deliverables, and integration efforts.
- Work alongside product and marketing teams to create demonstrations and promotional content for industry events.
- Manage the procurement and upkeep of laboratory equipment, ensuring all necessary hardware is operational and available.
- Monitor GPU cluster performance, communicate new feature requirements, and track significant bug reports with infrastructure teams to ensure resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and FAQs for relevant collaborators.
- Act as the primary contact for all inquiries related to Project GR00T from both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Program Manager or in a similar capacity, ideally within AI, robotics, software, or a related technical domain.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple project threads simultaneously while ensuring successful milestones.
- Outstanding communication and technical presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment within the competitive AI research sector.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (both verbal and written) to facilitate clear communication with domestic and international partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid technical foundation with an undergraduate-level understanding of AI, machine learning, and robotics concepts.
- Hands-on programming experience, particularly with Python and associated ML/AI frameworks.
- Previous experience working across different geographies and time zones.
