Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting both local and corporate management through comprehensive financial accounting, cash management, and corporate reporting services. This position demands a high level of adaptability in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines, and may involve unusual hours and travel commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations while managing a skilled team of accountants and analysts.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial closing process in accordance with local and corporate reporting timelines.
  • Generate monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements, for local management and corporate headquarters, adhering to IFRS standards.
  • Manage treasury and cash management functions in close collaboration with the Corporate Treasury Department.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Payable function utilizing the SAP AFI Application.
  • Maintain effective relationships with local auditors to facilitate the year-end audit process, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to all financial accounting personnel.
  • Deliver ad-hoc reporting as required by management.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive sector.

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and compliance with ongoing drug testing policies.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, crawl, and utilize hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, with the potential to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with variable days and hours based on operational needs, including the possibility of working holidays and weekends, as well as overtime as necessary.

Travel Requirements:
This role involves limited travel, less than 20%, which may include both local and international trips, potentially requiring overnight stays.
