Director of Financial Operations

St. Norbert College seeks a Director of Financial Operations to provide strategic leadership to the Office of Financial Aid. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies, as well as strong management skills in project and personnel oversight.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Financial Aid, addressing modern challenges in student education.
- Foster a culture of outstanding service and communication to students and families.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional regulations for financial aid packaging, budgeting, and disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and submit timely, accurate reports for federal, state, and institutional funds.
- Administer college financial aid policies and programs, applying best practices to strengthen award processes and increase enrollment in targeted populations.
- Supervise and develop Financial Aid staff, providing cross-training and mentoring, and ensuring accurate, customer-focused performance.
- Manage Financial Aid budget, endowed scholarship programs, and key campus partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Vice President and admissions to develop financial aid leveraging programs and communications for prospective students.
- Regularly review financial aid reports to ensure accurate awards and effective use of federal and institutional funds.
- Work with enrollment management to meet discount rate targets, monitor student aid expenditures, and ensure timely financial aid processing for all students.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 5-7 years of experience in higher education and financial aid, and demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment.
