Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide product support for our Commercial Chiller products manufactured in our Charlotte, NC facility. The successful candidate will provide ongoing support for these products, including design change requests from various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate control and power panels into chiller products, with a focus on variable frequency power electronics.
  • Select and size electrical components and wiring to operate motors, valves, and other equipment.
  • Create, edit, and read electrical power and control schematics.
  • Develop and modify I/O mapping of electronic controls.
  • Collaborate with product management, software, chiller systems, and compression engineering to define controls and motor controller requirements.
  • Work with the supply chain to identify suppliers for control and motor control solutions.
  • Provide oversight of control and motor control products.
  • Ensure code compliance is maintained.
  • Perform engineering duties, including manufacturing planning and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus.
  • Determine material and equipment needs and order supplies.
  • Develop operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems.
  • Manage activities for the manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, or systems.
  • Prepare, review, or maintain maintenance schedules, design documentation, or operational reports and charts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with control panel design and working with voltages.
  • Project leadership experience.
  • HVAC industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills, primarily in English.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
