About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation
  • Perform regular maintenance on heating and cooling systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions
  • Install, replace, or repair damaged equipment and calibrate thermostatic controls
  • Install new heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and repair or replace damaged or worn parts and equipment
  • Inspect and service refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
  • Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems
  • Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems
  • Assemble and install metal ductwork
  • Assist in planning and designing new installations of heating and air-conditioning systems
  • Maintain maintenance records as required by regulations
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of HVAC experience
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to enter into the Union and/or currently enrolled
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Principles and practices of Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and repair
  • HVAC controls and safety devices
  • Computerized electrical circuits and systems
  • Sheet metal, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Basic understanding of Building Automation Controls
