Your Responsibilities


Under supervision and adhering to established standards, you will be responsible for hardware design and software programming for HVAC control systems to fulfill project specifications.

You will provide detailed documentation and submissions to convey design and operational details to clients, consultants, the Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors.

You will also respond to basic warranty inquiries.

Your Tasks Include:

Selecting hardware designs from a standard design library for flow diagrams, operational sequences, bills of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics as necessary.

Programming software based on established design standards.

Coordinating the creation of essential drawings and equipment schedules for submissions and installations.

Selecting, ordering, and monitoring the delivery of materials for assigned projects.

Coordinating factory-mounting processes to align with factory and project timelines.

Assisting in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as needed. Aiding in the validation of complete system functionality and troubleshooting issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.

Collecting field modifications from the project team and producing as-built drawings and software. Preparing appropriate documentation and/or manuals for system operation.

Keeping management and the JCI contractor or customer updated on job progress and challenges.

Collaborating with project owners to define engineering and field execution task responsibilities.

Assisting in conducting site-specific training for owners/operators on the complete system.

Completing paperwork including, but not limited to, time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.

Adhering to safety protocols.

Maintaining a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Qualifications We Seek

Required:
Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Demonstrated technical proficiency.

Advanced computer skills are essential.

Preferred:
An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years of experience in the HVAC sector.


Experience in installing and/or commissioning control systems, including system-level controllers, or experience in designing or evaluating mechanical/electrical building systems or control systems.
