Regional Revenue Strategist

The Regional Revenue Strategist position plays a critical role in supporting the revenue management efforts at all assigned hotels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the achievement of room revenue goals at each managed hotel by providing strategic direction and follow-up strategies.
  • Providing data analysis, strategy, and reporting to identify current and future revenue opportunities.
  • Assisting in the development of new and evaluating existing transient and group inventory, channel, and pricing strategies to maximize RevPAR for each property.
  • Collaborating with DOSM and sales managers on rate/inventory suitability of potential group business.
  • Monitoring competitive shop reports to maintain consistency with property level inventory strategies and pricing philosophy.
  • Leading weekly revenue meetings for each property and completing meeting recap reports.
  • Completing weekly pace reports.
  • Analyzing STR on a weekly and monthly basis and providing feedback during weekly revenue meetings.
  • Continually monitoring actions of competitive hotels and the market.
  • Analyzing end of month reports to assist in the preparation of the monthly executive summary report.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual room revenue day by day budgets for each property.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly rolling 90 day room revenue forecasts for each property.
  • Working with FOM/DOO to perform ongoing training and build a positive relationship with the front office team.
  • Participating in monthly Director calls.
  • Collaborating with DOSM and marketing manager on new strategies for packages and promotions.
  • Ensuring all new rate levels entered are accurate in the CRS and PMS.
  • Performing regular booking audits of all channels for all rate levels.
  • Supporting the properties integration into new reservations & revenue management technology and programs.
  • Troubleshooting systems related issues quickly and working with the Area Revenue Coordinator to escalate until resolved.
  • Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by property and corporate level senior leadership.
  • Continuously working with each property's operations team on special projects when needed and providing insight into revenue impact.
  • Ensuring property has accurate content and photography on all booking channels and within the CRS, working with the Marketing team to complete updates as necessary.
  • Actively participating and contributing to the annual brand strategy planning.
  • Staying up to date with trends and new concepts by reviewing industry publications and/or attending conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with revenue management in a branded hotel.
  • Computer competency required, significant knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new technology and applications.
  • Must be a curious-minded, critical thinker with strong attention to detail, analytical and project management skills are required.
  • Must be a problem solver and be adaptable to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work closely with C-level executives.
  • Comfort and confidence in presenting via phone, email, and in person to ownership and asset managers.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Aggressive, self-motivated work habits, must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
