Cancer Cognitive/Survivorship Advanced Practice Provider

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Cancer Cognitive Clinic program and the Cancer Survivorship program within the UC Health system.
The APP will provide outpatient services primarily at the Barrett Cancer Center and possibly the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute, depending on the assigned space.
The provider will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide care for patients with a history of cancer, focusing on cognitive changes and survivorship.
Essential Functions- Clinical Care: Collaborate with the Cancer Cognitive Care team to provide evaluation and follow-up visits for patients presenting with complaints of cognitive changes.
- Teaching: Contribute to a positive learning environment for learners and participate in the journal club.
- Administrative and Continuity of Care: Perform clinical administrative duties, create educational materials for patients, and collaborate with the Cancer Survivorship team to perform survivorship visits.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program, active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority, and active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
- Physician Assistant: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority, and Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Skills to provide cognitive care for a varied population with a history of cancer, including communication skills, complete psychosocial assessments, and ability to work within the cognitive care team.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an APP or 3+ years of any clinical experience in neurology, oncology, or a related field.
