Child Care Assistant

Pillsbury United Communities is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Aide to join our team. As a Child Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.
Job Summary:The primary objective of this position is to provide support for the child care center, ensuring that children receive the best possible care and attention. You will work closely with our team to create a warm and welcoming environment that promotes developmental growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and disinfecting toys and surfaces.
- Support children in their daily activities, such as meal times, toileting, and nap times.
- Supervise children during free play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist children in resolving conflicts and promoting positive relationships.
- Support teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to families and colleagues.
- Ability to work between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a child care setting.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for working with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to social justice and equity.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
