This is a unique opportunity to join the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Child Care Teacher. The Assistant Teacher will support the Institute of Child Development's commitment to anti-racism and diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is a 100% position with a 12-month appointment, and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in staff development opportunities and contribute to the advancement of the school's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The role involves a range of responsibilities, including assisting in establishing and maintaining an inclusive, professional, and safe learning space for children of all backgrounds, identities, abilities, and developmental stages. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting daily checks of the environment, assigning, monitoring, and following up on the health and safety of the children, and ensuring the supervision of children is within sight and sound.
