About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Child Day Care team at North Ridge Health and Rehab. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers and infants, while also overseeing the daily operations of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the classroom, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment for children.
  • Coordinate activities for children in your care, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Accurately report and record child and parent information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Attend childcare meetings and collaborate with colleagues to support miscellaneous duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary certificate as a Child Development Assistant with one year of experience, or an A.A. or B.A. degree in child development, or a Pre-kindergarten license from the Department of Education.
  • Preferably two years of professional experience with infants.
  • Strong understanding and enjoyment of working with children.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions and initiate new programs.
  • Prefer experience working with the elderly.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
