Position Overview

Salary Range: $58,000 - $65,000
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Healthcare Data Analyst to enhance our healthcare operations through the examination of intricate datasets and the provision of actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in converting raw healthcare data into valuable information that guides strategic decision-making and elevates patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Streamlining data processes by gathering, structuring, and scrutinizing extensive datasets.
  • Detecting trends, patterns, and correlations within healthcare data to bolster clinical, operational, and financial objectives. Collaborating with subject matter experts to interpret findings and derive significant insights.
  • Establishing and sustaining databases and data systems essential for project execution and departmental functions.
  • Formulating and upholding data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to facilitate predictive modeling and forecasting.
  • Analyzing data, interpreting results using statistical methods, and delivering continuous reports.
  • Working alongside cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Designing dashboards, reports, and visual representations to convey findings to stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses and research initiatives to tackle specific healthcare-related inquiries or challenges.
  • Creating and implementing data analysis methodologies and best practices.
  • Monitoring and auditing data integrity to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Recognizing opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements through data analysis.
  • Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable role within the healthcare sector.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages, including SPSS, SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with precision and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and handle various assignments as required. Knowledge of healthcare quality measures, population health management, and value-based care models is advantageous.
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the capability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
