Job Overview

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Foreman to join our Special Projects division in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the installation and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring precision and efficiency in all projects.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead a team of technicians to perform commercial HVAC system installations, replacements, and upgrades, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Utilize technical expertise to identify and resolve issues that arise during the installation process, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality inspections throughout projects to ensure work meets company standards, industry best practices, and client expectations.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain accurate records of work performed and complete all necessary paperwork using company-issued tablets, effectively communicating with clients and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices, contributing to their professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven commercial HVAC experience.
  • Certifications: Universal EPA Certification required.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, wiring, controls, and components, with proficiency in brazing and soldering.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and work in various weather conditions, with physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Other Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record, pass a drug screen, and background check.
