Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Complete thorough preventative maintenance checks and services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems, including inspection and repair/replacement of belts and pulleys, inspection and cleaning of condensate drain lines, and testing power/performance of compressor, fan motor, and blower motor.
- General Repairs: Perform general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems, diagnose airflow and ducting repairs, and safely diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on standard boiler, package, and split unit HVAC systems.
- Refrigerant Management: Safely use refrigerants in support of standard package and split unit HVAC systems, and perform routine maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.
- Plumbing and Electrical Maintenance: Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks in drains and faucets, and replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as needed. Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
- Carpentry and Painting: Perform routine painting, carpentry work, and other tasks as necessary to maintain client facilities in like-new condition.
- Technology Utilization: Fully utilize technology, including tablets and smartphones, to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports and quality inspection images and reports, and submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
- Customer Service: Create a positive climate with clients, provide and generate customer satisfaction, and maintain timely and consistent communications with clients and internal support teams.
- Training and Compliance: Obtain and complete EFS required safety and compliance training, attend weekly safety meetings, and provide estimates for larger projects and services as needed.
- Experience: 5 years of HVAC/general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, speak effectively before groups, perform various general type maintenance tasks, and write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent customer service and communication skills, knowledge of chiller operations, and experience with BAS (Building Automation System) and energy management systems.
- Licenses and Certifications: EPA Universal certification, applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
